NEPAL BUILDING UPDATE
Progress has been made on the land we purchased in October. We have cleared the land and built a septic tank for when we return in September to start building.
Tammy has returned from Nepal and Thailand. It was a great trip. She was able to get the prices for the material and labor to build the orphanage and complete the training on the earth block machine.
We recieved the funds for the interlocking compressed earth block machine and were able to purchase it while in Thailand attending training.
The fundraiser in North Carolina was a huge blessing, the youth group at Nags Head Church and the womens fundraiser raised enough money to buy the second piece of land that will be used to grow fruits and vegetables and raise animals.
The fundraiser in Utah on April 30th raised $8,000 towards our goal, since then we have recieved other donations and we are left with only needing to raise $3,500 to fund the building project!!! We need about $3,000 to buy new beds, clothes, kitchen supplies etc.
Below are pictures of the compressed interlocking blocks and the equipment we will be using. This machine will allow us to cut the cost to build the orphanage by about 1/3 and the time to build by 1/2. This machine will also enable them to build more blocks and sell them, thus generating an income for the orphanage and village.
